I'm always grateful for the SBS spirit that moves within the group, prompting the members and alum who are close by Stanford campus to remain in intimate contact with newer SBS-ers. Probably the prime example of this is John Fu, who has posted this latest series of photos on his website from a recent SBS performance at Lytton Gardens Senior Community:

Featured prominently is Sam Bremmer, a superb earthy-crunchy fellow whom we called affectionately "Jesus" due to his looks and beard, and Graham (I don't recall his last name), who was one of the most intensely interesting and wacky characters in SBS. Truly wonderful people were brought together via SBS and it appears that the spirit is still moving in it!

Ok, so I'm a little bit obsessed with chicken apple sausages. And "droo" comes from my undergrad days at Stanford - I only use that name with really close friends.

I do miss my old roommates and close friends James Threatt (pronounced "threet") and Nathan Osborne. What a bunch of Marx brothers we were. Good times were had in Cali, in Hammarskjold, in Kairos, and in West Lag.

I also miss greatly Young At Heart (now Side By Side). You can visit their website at the link on the right side of this blog. Somehow, the core of YAH/SBS always were some of the warmest, most caring people I've ever met.

Not least, I miss my old drawmates, two of whom were Nathan and James. The others were Shaw San Liu, Emunah Edinburgh, Jana Gastellum (soon to be married!), and Tony Engel (this weird fellow is already married to a very charming lady). Tony, I'm kidding, you're not too weird. Tony can be found at www.tonyengel.com and online in the World of Warcraft. One of my fondest memories of college was sitting at my computer, slightly buzzed, playing Starcraft with Tony online and making fun of the names of the people with whom we were playing. Qordon and Skybow were the best. Tony, man, if I ever get some time, I will indeed hunt you down in WOW or Chicago, whichever comes first =)

Keepin' it alive

The last two blogs I started pretty much spiraled down to nonexistence mainly due to my lack of attention. My ultimate wish for this blog is to start posting pictures that I take with my digital camera as sort of a photo journal; I relate and share so much more pictorally rather than words. However, being a perfectionist, that will necessitate my rearranging this site into a format that I like. I'll get to it . . . eventually.

On another note, I strongly encouraged my good friend Jeremy Crisp to start blogging. I'd be very interested to delve into my friends' heads more, and with such a hectic personal life being in school and all, this would be a continual way of staying in touch. If I could only convince the Brotherhood to blog . . .

My girlfriend Laura has been working hard on the Alliance for Hispanic Health website and it's starting to look really good! I just snuck a peek at it and, despite her usual expected self-effacing comments, I really am impressed with its layout and overall look - good colors and cleanliness. She's definitely a stubborn one at times, getting so focused that she tunes out just about everything, even when you yell her name within 10 feet of her. I'll be sure to post the address of the website when it goes up!
